Competitive Bid / Lump Sum Contract

The traditional approach to residential contracting starts with the homeowner working with a separate architectural/design firm in the conceptual design and working drawing phases of the process.  When drawings are complete, the architectural firm accepts bids on the project as designed.  This traditional approach is the sequential method, where one phase is completed before another begins.
